Marguet Miller is LASC's New Athletic Director

Los Angeles Southwest College announces Marguet Miller as the college's new Athletic Director, effective January 15th, 2025. 

AD Miller brings a wealth of experience in athletics administration and a strong commitment to fostering a vibrant sports culture within our institution.

Miller arrived at LASC in 2023 and instantly raised the football team’s record from 0-10 to 6-4. The accomplishment and many others led him to be named the 2023 Metro Conference Coach of the Year.  The following year, AD Miller coached LASC to the Western States Bowl game, which was the first bowl game appearance in 25 years.  AD Miller previously spent 15 years as the head coach at West Los Angeles College from 2008-2022. More than 200 players have transferred to four-year institutions under AD Miller's leadership and over 100 of his former players have received their bachelor’s degrees from four-year universities. Since 2008, Miller's football teams have maintained an overall team grade point average of 2.6 during each football season culminating with a team grade point average of 3.01.  In addition, during such time, fifteen players have been added to the All-Academic State Team.

AD Miller has won national, state, and conference Titles, and Bowl Championships. In addition, he has coached several players that have either won, appeared as a player, or coached in a Super Bowl.  Such as:  Michael Pittman - Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Antonio Pierce - New York Giants, David Reed - Baltimore Ravens, Rocky Seto - Assistant Coach Seattle Seahawks and Delaine Walker - San Francisco 49'ers.
